Super 16: February 2011

Last week we saw Elgrego the magician. He taught us to be kind to each other and how to stand up for ourselves.

He had some really cool animals- doves, parrots and rabbits!

Maths

We are doing a blitz on doubles this term. Firstly instantly recalling doubles to 10 and then we will stretch ourselves to 20!

We have been doing a lot of talk about tens and ones in the past two weeks. This liks well to our skip countng in 10's.

Another maths focus has included solving the missing number. E.g. 6 + _ = 10 or 13 + _ = 18 etc...

Remember to keep up skip counting in 2's and 5's (forwards and backwards) plus number bonds to 5 and then 10! The children are showing a lot of confidence in these areas in class!
