Welcome to 2011! I will endevour to update our classroom blog weekly so please bear with me as I figure how to use our blog site.

Maths

We are doing a blitz on doubles this term. Firstly instantly recalling doubles to 10 and then we will stretch ourselves to 20!

We have been doing a lot of talk about tens and ones in the past two weeks. This liks well to our skip countng in 10's.

Another maths focus has included solving the missing number. E.g. 6 + _ = 10 or 13 + _ = 18 etc...

Remember to keep up skip counting in 2's and 5's (forwards and backwards) plus number bonds to 5 and then 10! The children are showing a lot of confidence in these areas in class!
