What a fantastic start to the term! I have been blown away by the children's readiness to learn. They have been so calm and SO attentive. A very promising start.
We got stuck into out narrative writing this week- you can see more about them on the blog. Our 'hamburger retelling' was a hit with an easy story broken into piece by piece.
We also had a big push on skip counting in 5's. It would be great to practice calling out a number and asking your child to say what is 5 more (within the easy 5's numbers e.g. 25, 40 etc... not 21 or 37).
A reminder that we have Athletics Day next Wednesday weather permitting. I also forgot to send home the beginning of term 4 news letter so will do so on Monday. It mentions the annual Team 4 fundraiser of calendars and cards. Unfortunately there was a 4 week delay in getting the paper etc sent out but will be here Monday. This means if you are keen on ordering one, the art will be viewable hopefully from Wednesday next week and all orders need to be in by Thursday week 3- Thursday 10th November! Sorry about the short notice. I hope to have art in a display book by Thursday next week at the latest.
Have a fantastic weekend.
Heidi
